The world is a big place – and that’s a good thing.
Headphone Nation’s motto is also its mission, to embrace and remind ourselves and each other the vastness and diversity of our world. Writing about music, old and new, from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe – primarily places that don’t get as much coverage in American press – is only a gateway into sharing how we are all so different yet so similar.
In everything we do, from our weekday posts to our different social media feeds, we are telling stories, and to follow Headphone Nation is to learn a little more about the world we live in, song by song.
Tune in. Tune out. Live on.
More about me:
My writing has been featured in McSweeney’s, Pitchfork, Bandcamp Daily, Cover Me, Speak Into My Good Eye, Cultured Vultures, and many blogs that don’t exist anymore. I also write travel essays and short fiction, some of which has been published in print. Check out more of my writings here.
When I’m not writing, I’m reading. Check out all the books I’m currently reading here.
When I’m not writing or reading, I’m traveling. Or drawing cartoons. Or watching Futurama. Or napping. Or coffee.
